The Garden Exit Of The Tiefbunker

The shell was complete once the ceiling of the bunker had been cast. A section through the Western supply zone of the Tiefbunker shows the arrangement of the stairs. 37 steps led from the Tiefbunker into the garden of the Reich Chancellery. The steps were 1m wide and 19 cm high. One flight consisted of 9 steps. The staircase had four turns and the size of the 4 flights was identical.
